By connecting a mobile device via OWON’s dedicated app, users can perform real-time analysis, receive alerts, and share measurement data seamlessly. Additionally, the device functions as a comprehensive data logger, process tester, and thermometer, enhancing its versatility in various measurement scenarios.

Key functions include:

• Continuous Real-Time Recording: The multimeter transmits real-time measurement data via low-power Bluetooth protocol. Users can record, visualize, and analyze this data within the app, with options to save specific datasets for easy retrieval and review.
• Continuous Offline Recording: When paired with an iOS device, the app can send commands to initiate recording sessions. The multimeter autonomously stores measurement data in internal memory after disconnecting from the device, enabling prolonged unattended monitoring. Once recording concludes, reconnecting the app allows users to export the data as a CSV file. This feature supports extended monitoring periods while conserving Bluetooth energy consumption and preserving battery life.
• Multi-Device Control: The app allows simultaneous monitoring of multiple multimeters. In the “DeviceList” interface, measurements from each connected device are displayed concurrently, facilitating comprehensive comparisons across different test points within a unified view.
• Remote Wireless Operation for Safety: The multimeter enables remote recording of current, voltage, resistance, capacitance, and temperature in high-risk environments such as high voltage or extreme temperatures. This capability enhances operator safety by eliminating the need for direct contact during measurements in hazardous locations.
• Graphical and Tabular Data Presentation: To facilitate analysis, the app visually renders real-time trending graphs of multiple devices. Users can zoom, pan, and tailor views through intuitive gestures, allowing precise examination of measurement paths and behavioral patterns at various test points.
• Abnormal Data Alerts: Users can preset warning criteria; when captured data deviate from these thresholds, the system promptly alerts operators, enabling quick responses to potential issues.
• Data Backup and Sharing: The application supports data storage and export options for secure backup. Furthermore, it offers multiple sharing methods so colleagues can assist with diagnostics or collaborative troubleshooting efforts.
